We are currently accepting submissions for our first issue. We are looking for fresh and unique poetry. Of course we are. You can send your submissions to penetrationmag@yahoo.com. Please include "SUBMISSION" in the headline. All submissions should be in .doc or .rtf format. Artists' bios may be included within the body of the email. For further guidelines, read on.
Please submit between three and five poems. Poems should be single-spaced and formatted as the author would like them to appear. We're looking for poetry with a new angle, but that still has something to say. Not syrupy, purple prose, and please, no pretentious avant-garde bullshit. We're all about pushing boundaries, but there's got to be something in the words besides an excuse to flex your vocabulary and blame your father for your cocaine/sex/vinyl/pain/heroin/ice skating addiction. About Penetration
Penetration is a new lit mag soon to be creeping out of Chicago, and who knows, maybe even into Harwood Heights. We're looking for poetry with a voice. Sound simple? We'd like to think so. We're looking for work that reflects depth, understanding, a sense of humor, and maybe a little bit of lunacy. We're looking for work that is going to make people squirm, for better or for worse.

Is this an online journal, or a print one?
We're looking towards being a small print journal, though we will be adding poems to this page from time to time.
